After a nap (and, apparently, a few timeouts when she was with mommy), we polished. Winter started out with a clear polish. She brushed with gusto over all of the toenails even up to the 2nd knuckle. I now have shiny toes, too! In hopes that she would forget after supper, Auntie didn't add color then. But the elephant brain prevailed and supper was completed with the cries of "Where is the paint, Auntie? We need to get the paint!" Auntie and the Win crawled back into the bathtub and polished the toes with color. As you may see, the Win only polished in color the little baby toe, but she got them all with clear...selfish and vain, I know.
I don't know what one might pay for such glorious attention, obsession, focus, and care. That must mean the memory is priceless!

ReplyDeleteHow funny! It is everything I can do to allow Madison to paint my nails--or even Jeremy when I am pregnant and can't reach them. I guess it is my obsession with perfection and them not looking terrible! See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell, you are much braver than I am. I do good to let her sit next to me when I'm doing mine.
ReplyDeleteI tagged you!
