Ephesians 2:10

Eph 2:10 "God has made us what we are. He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do." GWT

I have often been confused about the idea of predestination and what that all means. I stay confused about lots of those ideas and don't try to sort out every detail. I have enough of a hard time just remembering to share the love much less the other stuff.

I think this verse, however, has much to say. God created us to do good things, to live a purposeful life. It doesn't matter if you do that living in Dallas, Oregon, or Hollis, America. It doesn't matter if you are a rodeo cowboy, elementary school teacher, bank teller, or work with boys in a group home. Your purpose is to share His love, bring people to Him, and generally help people.

I'd love for God to send a memo to let me know what will be our parenting future, will my parents live to see their grandchildren grow up, etc. However, that doesn't matter. He doesn't work that way. He doesn't always point the way clearly. Any choice we make is fine; if we are carrying out His work, we'll receive blessing. It may not be the same type of blessing we'd received if we made other choices, but He's there at-the-ready with the full life for us. I am thankful for that!!
