"Look, I carved your name into my hand. I think about you all the time."
(This version is the Easy to Read. I find it be a good translation that is very plain spoken.)
Recently, this was shared at a child care conference I attended. The intention was not to support or encourage us to get ink. However, it is a neat statement from God. It is not the picture of God many of us imagine. I often picture God mapping out the world's issues. I have frequently operated under the false assumption that He believes I can handle my own stuff and He is leaving me alone, to some degree, so He can help those who really need it.
Now I ask myself: how insane is that thinking?! I now see much more clearly how desperately I need Him to think of me and want to be connected in new and stronger ways. I can't do this without Him and many days I have stopped trying to do so.
May this be a blessing to you today.
