I See You!

In worship on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago, I read from The Message. I find it helpful to switch occasionally the version/paraphrase as it keeps me from just glossing over what I read. Today, this passage hit hard

Luke 16:14 MSG
So Jesus spoke to them: "You are masters at making yourselves look good in front of others, but God knows what's behind the appearance."

Oh. My. Word.

Busted.

Jesus, you really see me?!

Perhaps the hope of the little girl within me carries greater consequences than I'd realized. I want to be seen and remembered. If Jesus can see me at all, He can see all.

And what He sees...? Not what all see. Not the Hubs, not the Boy, not friends, not parents, perhaps not even I have seen all He sees. Sometimes I even hide things from myself.

What would life be like if I were unafraid for the Creator of my heart to see all that is within?
