Happy List

Shannon has inspired me to make a happy list to share. I have kept one for about 12 years now, but not consistently. I like how she did hers, so I will share as well.

I love to hang out with kids! I really love to hang out with others’ kids, especially the ones I don’t have specific and permanent charge of. The fun thing is to watch them learn and grow.

I have a great husband. I never thought life would be like this. I never thought I would be this comfortable with someone else on the Earth. We have consistently decided that we’d be honest with each other no matter what. I love that and am thankful to live that way.

My niece is so cool! She is funny and I love hearing stories about her and others’ stories who are her age. I love to hang out with her, too!

R calling me "Maw." In some ways it makes me feel a bit like a bovine. However, it also is encouraging and freakish at the same time.

Scrapbooking! I have loved to take pictures for years. I scrapbooked years ago, before it became such a huge deal. Now I am having a great time doing this again. I will post some pictures of pages later.

Getting a personal look into the lives of people. I love to spend time with people and see into their hearts. I am truly thankful for the times people have trusted me with their stories.

There is more. I will keep a list and add to this over time. Thanks, Shannon, for your reminder of needing to be thankful (and verbal about it!).
