Flowers and Plants...in July

It has taken some work to keep these looking any good this time of year.
Does anyone know what the purply looking flowers are called? I have not yet
found out. Thanks!
The cantaloupe grew out much more than I thought would happen. I moved the
tub so that it wouldn't move into the sidewalk, at least!
