Trains I've Missed

Our first Musical Monday...a day late! Here is a song by my favorite of all singer-songwriters.  His name is Walt Wilkins. He sings lead in this video.  I have a love for him that, at times, borders on the unholy (I've confessed it to Troy...he's not worried!).

He really is a good writer and I like how he sings.  His writing is often very spiritual and I like to think it has positively effected my view of God and Jesus.  Kind of like a musical "The Shack." He is the one on the far right on the stage.

Enough of all that, I hope you enjoy!

Trains I Missed

Here's to the trains I missed
The loves I lost
The bridges I burned
The rivers I never crossed
Here's to the call I didn't hear
The signs I didn't heed
The roads I didn't take
The maps that I just couldn't read

It's a big old world but I've found my way
And the hell and the hurt lead me straight to it
Here's to the trains I missed

I've been a clown, I've been a fool
And i pushed on every chance
I searched far and wide trying to crawl out of God's hands
There were stones i didn't throw
And hearts i didn't break
And a little hope that i held onto with each silver shining thread of faith

It's a big old world but I've found my way
And the hell and the hurt lead me straight to it
Here's to the trains I missed

Here's to this place I've found
The love I've known
The earth and the sky
That I call home
Here's to the things I need
Bigger than me
And the moments I find myself right where I'm suppose to be

It's a big old world but I've found my way
And the hell and the hurt lead me straight to it
Here's to the trains I missed
