Adulthood

Today made me wonder if I should have to hand in my proof-of-adulthood card. It was one of those days where you wonder if you should even have gotten out of bed.

On my way to Cisco to conduct an admission assessment interview, I spilled about 12 oz of coffee in and on my shirt(s) and pants. It was so bad I bought a new shirt in Wal-mart and changed in the bathroom. Cisco is about 3.5 hours so I was able to make up some time.

I had to stop and get fuel because I did not plan ahead well enough. Though I was focused on my task of getting there, I did help an older lady at the station. I realized, later, that there was a way to give some credit to God in that and plan to improve there.

The interview was completed and it was time to head back. I went through Abilene, rather than coming straight back. I turned around 3 times (at least) to get fully pointed toward home.

In Aspermont, I saw a car wash and knew it was time to stop. I blew that one, too. Even to the point that the truck was briefly stuck.

I got home too late to make it to Bible Class. I started the coffee-stained laundry, which only partially came clean.

The proof that we aren't preg this month arrived today, so I took a muscle relaxer and went to bed. It was 32 minutes before a legal bed time. However, they haven't taken my adult card yet so I'll make it count as long as possible!!

The pill was really something I needed not just for escaping!

SJ, I checked the map to make sure I didn't blunder! Hollis is due North of Abilene and I did go through Aspermont. We are in the WEST! I love that. Funny that you are even typing the language and not just saying it!
