Our House...for real this time!

We are in the process of buying a house...this time it is for real! It is a house that needs some work...okay a good bit of work. We are trading labor for the down payment. It is 219 E Eula, in the block near the school. We are super excited! Here are some before pictures, so we can all be excited! It will take some time to fix it up, but we plan to move in about January, if not a little before.

This is the side area, on the west side of the house. You can see a garage in the back.

Here is a picture of the west window, to the front bedroom. It is part of the need for fixing on the outside!

Here is the backyard. We'll just have to fence one side. There are 2 buildings that go with it.

Here is another picture of the garage. The metal building is open and will be great for working on vehicles, et al.

This is the front of the house. We will eventually want to re-side the whole house. The roof is in good shape, so that is a good thing.

This will be the living room. We are painting it and installing laminate flooring through the kitchen, living room, and hallway.

Here is the hallway looking to the front bedroom. It is the biggest bedroom but not the largest closet.

This is our blue bathroom!! We'll be painting it! There will be a shower installed in the space on the back wall.

This is the backmost room. It is off the ktichen and we will likely use it as a formal dining area.

Standing in the kitchen looking into the dining room. This wall will be painted.

Here's the color of the living room and kitchen. You can see our friend, Adrienne in the background.

The kitchen. We're still unsure exactly where things will go except that the stove will be under the ventahood.

Any ideas, just let me know!!

  1. Wow! You do have a lot of work ahead of you, but you will be so proud once it is finished and done! It's neat to go throught the metamorphasis stage with a house and slowly watch it be changed into your home. Congrats. Keep us updated with pictures!: ) Kara
