How My Brain Works

This morning, as I lay in bed at the Searcy Super 8, between the times of 6:00 (when my stupid phone announced a reminder) and 6:18, these thought fragments rolled through my noggin (in no particular order):

  • About one of our boy's nightmares and what they mean

  • How sad I would be for Troy to die

  • Telling Tiffany about Troy's dream about the "Healing Oils of the Bible" since I slept with Tea Tree Oil in my ears

  • The conversation about organisms living on the ocean floor surviving lava flows as evidence that it is possible the dishwasher doesn't kill all germs and perhaps the dog's mouth germs still live on objects she has licked after their trip through

  • Prayer for our adoption and how will we get the money together

  • Prayer that Holly flies safely today

  • How much better I like writing blog posts in Word

  • Wondering if others can see the fun fonts I'm addicted to using when writing and how to investigate this matter

  • How Mercy is doing at home without us

  • Patrick Baird's story about his 4-6th grade Wed night bible class and King Xerxes and how they didn't pay attention to the story he was telling but one remembered that the King was the big guy from the movie 300

  • The fact I was sad that I didn't get to go to do Race for the Cure this year b/c I really was excited about it.

  • Prayer for our boys

  • There was more. Believe it or not…

So, in the light of all that, I decided that I would get out of bed and go exercise. Going back to sleep clearly wasn't happening. I didn't want to have any more stream-of-consciousness crazy time. I got dressed, wrote a blog post, and off to sweat… Ron, you think my out loud stuff is hard to follow? =)

  2. Thanks for remembering me in prayer today! I did make it safely, although it was a rough couple of flights. See you soon.
